As Seen On TV

Over the years, I have been asked to help on popular daytime TV shows. I am proud to have been able make curtains, blinds and scatter cushions for the well deserving families to enjoy in their new homes!

60 Minute Makeover  - ITV

An unexpected call from an ITV researcher lead to being involved with 60 Minute Makeover. This home was in a quiet road in Partington. Though all the preparation is done beforehand, the actual make-over is carried out in two half hour slots. Lunch is provided in the break so that the first coats of paint can dry! This was emmense fun, I got stuck in with all the work, including painting and then hanging my curtains.

DIY SOS The Big Build

I was given the chance to help a really lovely couple, who lived in their little two up two down terrace house, when they unexpectedly gave birth to triplets!

They were given a complete home mak-over including much needed loft conversion.

Having 2 weeks notice to make all the Curtains and Roman Blinds was a challenge, especially when some of the windows hadn't even been fitted.

I was able to help finishing off painting and installing the finishing touches as there was a delay before we could fit everything. BBC catering is fabulous, being served with 3 wholesome meals each day. The DIY SOS guys are amazing too! As lovely in real life as they are on TV.

Channel 5 - Cowboy Builders

After the success of DIY SOS, the Interior Designer, Gabrielle Blackman contacted me to ask if I could help out on her new show. Of course I jumped at the chance. This time a family in Oldham had been left in a mess with large holes in the walls and an unsafe extention. The children had Asthma and the house was very dusty!

The house was transformed with a new extention, kitchen and living room. I made Roman Blinds and asked my Upholsterer to make seating cushions for the dining area.
